Character Building Course

DATES: 

Week 1: Wednesday October 7th
Week 2: Wednesday October 14th
Week 3: Wednesday October 21st
Week 4: Wednesday October 28th

DURATION: 4 week course, 2 hour sessions, 6:00-8:00PM

MATERIALS INCLUDED: Firing, glazes, tools- clay can be purchased on site

CLASS DETAILS: In this four-week course, students will learn detailed techniques and processes involved in creating a character-based figurative sculpture in clay. Through guided instruction and hands-on practice, students will explore proportion, gesture, anatomy, form, and expression while developing a unique character from concept to finished sculpture. Depending on scale students have the option of making one larger character or a series of smaller characters.
